Q: How did you get into the industry?
The first time I heard someone mention SEO was when I was doing my NCTJ in early 2021. A few months later I started looking into copywriting and doing some remote freelance work. I knew a friend’s brother was involved with an agency so I was able to get my foot in the door and go from there.
Q: What does a normal day look like for you?
Typically breakfast infront of a youtube video or one of many little addictive games(Marvel Snap, Hearthstone etc) on my desktop. On work days I’ll get started on tasks with a combination of research and writing, going through client projects and internal things. I’ll probably sprinkle in some editing and/or organising throughout the day.
Q: Common misconceptions about your job?
People always think I literally COPY things because it’s in the job name. Also that AI does most of my work for me.
Q: If you weren’t working in your current role, what job would you like to have if you could have any?
Racing driver.
Q: What job did your younger self think you would have?
Probably something physics-related. Alas I found out I can’t do maths.
Q: What do you do outside of work?
